Confidence - A Forgotten Virtue?

1.       Be Confident
“Let us have no confidence in ourselves, but at the same time let us not place any bounds to our confidence in Her.” - St. Max
Many times we are told to trust God, and we aren't really sure what trust looks like or feels like. We think we trust Him, and then again, we're sure we don't really. Well, one way to judge the depth of the trust you have in God, is to measure the confidence you have in yourself. That's right. The two go hand in hand. We can't trust God and be afraid of our own failure.
Rather, confidence in God's ability to work in us, through us, with us, and for us is the mark of true Trust. Trusting that He is big enough, powerful enough, and LOVING ENOUGH to use you for His glory in every moment of every day brings with it a confidence that says NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. And indeed, nothing is impossible.
A Virgin became a Mother. God became a Man. You became a Child of God.
What reason is there to fear? Do not be afraid! Go forward with Confidence in God in you!
