9 Days

until the anniversary of the 1973 Roe V. Wade case. This infamous Supreme Court decision under the guise of protecting women's privacy, quite literally ripped through the heart and soul of our country, its women, and its most vulnerable children. Yet, we cannot blame the Supreme Court - not exactly - because as Americans we believe in the power, freedom, and dignity of the Individual. As Catholics, we hold it sacred. Therefore, while we continue to battle the reversal of Roe V. Wade and an extensive protection of life from conception to natural death, we also must pray for the conversion of the human heart.

We turn to St. Maximilian as an example of the power of the pure heart. Amid the hate and ignominy of Auschwitz he was a beacon of hope and love, a man who decided not to bend to the subjectivism of morality that permeated his entire environment. Rather, he held to the truth that God is King of life and death, and therefore neither held fear over him. He placed himself in the hands of this all merciful God, and in turn saved the life of father. No man can possibly state more eloquently nor surely that to be a parent is sacred, to be a child is sacred, to be human is sacred.... Life is Sacred.

St. Maximilian Kolbe, Pray for us!
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us and protect the unborn!
