It is one month until the feast of the Annunciation (March 25th). This will be a great time of grace, for various reasons, and we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of our Pontifical Approval. Praise God! So, during this month I ask for your prayer.
Lent is a time to say YES. Every no, has a yes, every yes, has a no. As Fulton Sheen points out in "The World's First Love," when we say "YES" to one person (in marriage) we essentially are saying "NO" to all the others. When we say "YES" to Christ, we are saying "NO" to all other false gods. And so it goes....
This lent, I invite (even ask) you to offer your many YES's (or at least some of them) for our Institute, for vocations, and for our coming Assembly (in May). In this way, together we will imitate Mary at her great Fiat. We will become signs and testimonies of the joy of Christ. We will embark against the waves of corruption, riding through the storm with our eyes fixed on the horizon, our arms supporting one another, and our hearts at peace amid the squalor.
We will ride the waves, and not be drowned. (tossed a bit, but not overcome!)
Pax et Bonum. Peace and All Good!
