If we are intimately united to Christ, then we know that we are nearest Him in our sufferings. We know that He is loving the abandoned, bruised, and beaten. We know that He longs to bring them home, to caress them, to protect them. If we are intimately united to Christ we know that death means resurrection, we know that nothing can separate us from His love. If we are intimately united to Christ, we are always with our greatest Love and our entire existence is literally transformed. Grief becomes holy, because it is Christ's grief. Pain becomes redemptive, becausee it is Christ's pain. Love becomes creative, because it is Christ's love. Joy becomes eternal because it is Christ's joy.
The Immaculata unites us, intimately, to Her Son.
May this Lent be a time of uniting us in Her heart, where we will find the Heart of Jesus. May our hearts beat as one, in one loving unison, echoeing across every border and division. May the intimacy we share with Them, unite us all, so that the world will know that Christ has come, that He was sent by the Father, and that He loves us as the Father loves Him!
